Legal sector HAISQ Survey

The reason that you have been asked to participate in this survey is that the legal sector is at high risk from cyber-attack because they often handle significant volumes of confidential and sensitive information as well as dealing with large banking transactions. This survey has been specially designed to gather information about security behaviour in the legal sector within the UK, with the intention to raise security awareness, which is a critical skill in mitigating cybersecurity incidents. It will take about 10 minutes to complete and is anonymous.

The Data gathered will be published and is part of PhD research at The University of Sunderland into how solicitors can develop online trust.

The information that you provide will be used to help the whole of legal services by giving us an overview of possible threats to legal services this will allow us to draw conclusions and make recommendations. The survey is voluntary, and you are under no obligation to take part. The survey has been approved by the University of Sunderland Ethics Committee.

If you have any queries or concerns in relation to the study contact Deborah Whittle (deborah@deborahwhittle.com) or the Chair of the Ethics Committee Dr John Fulton (john.fulton@sunderland.ac.uk).

Thank you,

Deborah Whittle
